Services

Our center provides a variety of services tha aim to support the needy and destitude children and adult resisding within the greater area of Maokeng in Kroonstad. The dedicated staff and voluteers of our center provide this essential support much needed help by those in need

• Nutrition program

Children of school-going age sometimes go to school on an empty stomach and can't concentrate during lessons at school. The center provides the much needed meals to young children before they go to school and after school. This prgram suppliments the nutrion program that the Department of Education runs at shools.

• After school lessons

Children with academic challenges struggle in school as public schools do not provide adequate support to children with learning barriers. Guardian Angels has volunteer tutors that provide lessons in different subjects like Maths, Science, Accounting and English to name a few.

• Sanitary pads program

According to the Department of Education a girl child will miss at least a day of school in a year due to the fact that they did not have sanitary pads to use during their menstrual cycle. We believe that a girl child is as important as the boy child child and should be provided with the same opportunities as boys. Sanitary pads are made available for gilrs to use when needed.

• Vulnerable children

Our country and the government is currently struggling with violence against women and children. There are frequent reports on the news of children that are abducted, sexually assulted and abused or killed. Our organisation aims to identify the affected children and refer them to the Department of Social Development for assistance and care.
